Enabling the world to share resources

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."  - Margaret Mead

Pronounced “Koop”, and short for “recoup” — quupe is a rental marketplace to rent everyday items from people in your neighbourhood. Such as household items, skis, snowboards, cameras, camera gear etc.

quupe’s Mission is to enable the world to share resources. They wanted to build a platform that changes the way we think about resources and about our communities. To enable societies to make more sustainable choices about consumption to ultimately fight overconsumption. Thus, they came up with the idea of product sharing and how it can decrease consumption and the number of goods that will potentially end up in landfills.

We were given the opportunity to re-design the current quupe application

The Challenge

The original brand didn't live up to the community and sustainability nature of quupe. We worked with the client to find out what his visual expectations were for the project, his understanding of user needs and the existing quupe brand. We based our design decisions on the quupe mission of "enabling the world to share resources".

The Solution

Based on client feedback, and keeping the user persona in mind we expanded on the current quupe brand by keeping the current "quupe" blue and introducing an accent colour.  Our art direction focused on portraying the love for nature. The mood we created was natural, calming and trustworthy by allowing the visuals to be minimal and clean with clear hierarchy and grouping of information.
